Summary The primary purpose of a Supervisory Store Associate is to serve as a Supervisory Store Associate in a commissary which utilizes the work force of the future structure. This position is designed to give the incumbent the necessary training and work experience to develop to the full performance target level of Supervisory Store Associate, GS-1101-7, (PD # 99034). Responsibilities Position responsibilities include: Front end operations including patron identification, customer inquiries, check out and cash control. Non-perishable stock control including transporting item and stocking shelves. Meat display and case stocking. Produce inspection, display and rotation Account maintenance, supply and computer operations Physical requirements: Frequently lift, push, pull, carry and handle commissary products weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance. Work includes long periods of standing, stooping, kneeling, bending and climbing. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications In accordance with the Group Coverage Qualification Standards for Clerical and Administrative Support positions http://www.opm.gov/qualifications/Standards/group-stds/gs-cler.asp, applicants applying at the GS-06 grade level must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-05 grade level (or equivalent) by the closing date of this announcement. Specialized experience may not be substituted for education at this grade level. Examples of specialized experience include: Plan, direct or assigns work for employees. Knowledgeable of multiple departments within a grocery store in order to evaluate work, provide instruction and conduct on the job training for workers. Carry out daily retail grocery store functions necessary to successfully execute store operations. Education You may not use education to qualify.
