Overview
Sr. General Accounting Manager
The Sr. General Accounting Manager is responsible for leading the integration of the accounting and reporting for mergers and acquisitions. Responsible for the accounting guidance to accounting and finance directors and above on the acquired entity. Perform ad-hoc work related to one-time cost activity including monthly reporting and analysis. Must be highly proficient in US GAAP, financial reporting, project management and be able to effectively communicate and influence all levels of management.
Primary Responsibilities
Drive the accounting for the acquisitions and act as the central liaison between the acquired company accounting management and the headquarter accounting management.
Responsible for ad-hoc work related to one-time cost activity including monthly reporting and analysis. Team with External Reporting and audit functions to provide financial reporting support.
Facilitate the review of acquired entities financial results with subsidiary and Corporate Management.
Lead the integration for the accounting and reporting of newly acquired companies. Will oversee and guide the development and management of detailed project plans. Integration scope includes the consolidated and entity level financial statements, accounting policies and controls.
Partner with the Director of External Reporting and Accounting Policy to create an opening balance sheet testing plan. Responsible for executing open balance sheet testing plan, ensuring alignment with GAAP reporting requirements and proposing adjusting journal entries.
Partner with Internal Audit & External Reporting to identify and recommend necessary controls then will lead the implementation of the controls. Responsible for ensuring the performance of and compliance with existing Merger & Acquisition controls.
Education & Experience
Level of Formal Education: Bachelor's Degree
Area of Study: Accounting/Finance
Years of Experience: 7 or more years of diverse accounting experience.
