Who We Are
My Small Wonders was opened in 2008 in the Coffee Creek community of Edmond, Oklahoma, initially serving ages birth through early elementary and licensed by DHS for 119 children. The center continues to grow as we have joined forces with Child Development Schools, a national childcare provider with the specific goal of duplicating achievements at the Edmond, Oklahoma location. We are so excited to continue to deliver excellence in care at our flagship campus in Edmond, Oklahoma, and soon to other campuses throughout the country.
Overview
A Child Care Worker is responsible for maintaining a safe and fun environment for young children to preteens. Their duties include coming up with creative and educational activities, preparing and serving snacks to children and maintaining a clean environment for the children.

Education and Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent required
At least 1 year experience in a licensed child care center preferred
Must meet all Licensing Requirements related to education and ongoing training
Degree in Early Childhood or similar preferred
Certificates/Licenses
CPR and First Aid required according to state licensing requirements
Must maintain required number of training hours determined by licensing agency
Skills/Abilities
Must be able to perform all duties and responsiblities on the job
Excellent customer service skills
Working knowledge and understanding of all state requirements
Must be able to communicate effectively in the English language
Aware of an adheres to all safety requirements
Reports child injuries to a member of management in a timely manner
Utilizes electronic communication tools to keep parents updated throughout the day
Guides children in a positive manner. Displays friendly, affectionate and caring behaviors
Actively supervises the children in the classroom, during transitions, on the playground and in the playroom
Serves meals to children, models table manners and trying healthy foods
Interacts with children in the classroom, on the playground and in the playroom by participating in activities that involve bending, stooping, jumping and other physical activities
Ensures classroom is clean and organized at all times
Provides exceptional customer service to the families and children that we serve
Maintains confidentiality regarding children and families
Responds to any questions/concerns in a professional and timely manner
Reports suspected child abuse or neglect to local child protective agency as required by state law
Attends all staff meetings and training sessions
Performs other related duties as requested by a member of management
May be asked to work in other classrooms as needed
