In this role you will support challenging, mission-critical projects that make a direct impact on the nation's security and intelligence mission.
Responsibilities:
You will directly support the customer's communications division director as an action officer to solve problems by leading or supporting a portfolio of projects and initiatives.
Projects typically intersect technology, operational and policy aspects of current and future communications capabilities.
Self-starter, able to effectively manage and prioritize independent tasks to meet deliverable expectations.
Proactively coordinate actions and engage with organizational stakeholders and external mission partners across the federal inter-agency to achieve overall mission success.
Author well researched quality staff document packages.
Prepare briefing slides, coordinate, and track correspondence, formulate Courses of Action (COA's) and draft recommendations for senior decision makers that may have broad organizational or inter-agency impact.
Develop and present technical papers and presentations to convey project status, objectives, and strategic milestones to senior officials; identify and quantify risks that would affect the quality, timeliness, and cost of project services and deliverables; recommend risk avoidance and mitigation plans.
Support the formulation and execution of acquisition strategies.
Provide technical reviews and input to policies, directives, plans, and CONOPS
Participate as expert advisor to customer in various policy forums, working groups, meetings, and technical exchanges.
Use problem solving skills and experience with DoD and Federal information systems and telecommunications networks to analyze, evaluate, and recommend solutions to meet future systems capability requirements.
Lead complex projects from requirements development through design and acquisition, culminating in stakeholder operational test and acceptance.
Apply technical expertise to make recommendations and support integration of fixes, modifications, enhancements, new systems, and new capabilities into existing operational architecture.
Develop system requirements, model use cases, produce conceptual designs, develop technology integration strategies, and design systems architectures.
Ensure developmental systems are interoperable with current communications equipment suites and design meets meet customer requirements
Advise the customer on the development of technical approaches to solving integration and interoperability related problems.
Participate in activities to ensure knowledge creation and sharing across the work program as appropriate.

MS degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Telecommunications, Project Management, or related discipline.
15+ years' programmatic, policy or operational experience within the DoD community involving communications-electronic systems, IT, RF voice, video, and data networks.
Military experience gained as an action officer in Pentagon, COCOM, other joint service or military department command staff assignment; experience as member or supporting role to a Strategic Initiatives Group or Commander's Action Group.
Completed a joint or service specific Action Officer Course.
JPME 1 or JPME 2 graduate.
DoD System Acquisition or PPBE experience
DAWIA certifications
