This position is with our Software Integration Team. You will spend some of your time developing, debugging, and maintaining software applications, and have responsibility for the ecosystem the software executes on. This includes installation/configuration of the operating system, performing cyber security scans and hardening on the system, creating/maintaining utility scripts and contributing to the automated build process for the system. You will also get to demonstrate your basic networking and hardware knowledge when solving system issues. You will have the opportunity to interact with the customer to receive direct feedback on defects and enhancement requests which you will turn into a backlog for future releases of the software
What You'll Get to Do :
Work on a small team to develop, maintain, and improve existing software systems
Execute the research, engineering, and development of solutions to support operational capabilities
Develop releasable solutions in a specified timeframe and budget
Refine and enhance existing applications to best meet customer/operational requirements
Optimize legacy operational software as necessary to meet continuously evolving cyber security requirements
Apply system level knowledge (OS and hardware) to be able to diagnose issues and provide solutions
Profile, analyze, and optimize legacy software system
Remote work options (depending on current needs of development and release cycles)
More About this Role :
Work on infrastructure for our customer that provides pre-mission configuration management and post-mission data workflows to support the war fighter.
Develop automation for rapid system builds
Help develop roadmaps to ensure proper level of support to meet evolving customer needs
Develop and maintain user and administrative documentation to meet customer contract requirements
Understanding of software life-cycle management (and tools)
Periodically travel onsite to integrate operational systems and updates
You'll Bring These Qualifications :
Education:
Bachelor's (or higher) degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical field or other relevant experience.
Experience:
Minimum 3 year of hands-on experience with Linux and Scripting languages
Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with a software language
Required Skills:
Must be a US Citizen and have the ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance
Advanced knowledge of Agile software development best practices
Some experience with a popular CI/CD system such as GitHub Actions, GitLab Pipelines, Jenkins, or CircleCI
Solid Linux system and scripting experience with Python, Bash, or similar tools
Basic ability to code in high-level languages such as Golang, TypeScript as well as low-level languages such as C and C++ Basic understanding of software, complex design concepts, patterns, tools and best practices
Basic understanding of system provisioning tools, such as cloud-init, Ansible, and kickstart scripts
Basic understanding of virtualization and configuring hypervisor software
Basic understanding of distributed systems and networking
These Qualifications Would be Ideal to Have:
Active TS/SCI Clearance
Familiarity with device boot processes, such as BIOS, UEFI, and PXE boot capabilities

$69,100 - 141,500 USD
