Description: The Work
Quality Program Manager (QPM) within the Rotary and Mission Systems Laser & Sensor Systems (RMS L&SS) in Bothell, WA. The QPM will be responsible for the implementation and execution of program quality requirements.
The QPM is responsible for all aspects of Quality across the programs life-cycle including proposals, contract review, start-up, development, transition to production, production and support. Requires an understanding of quality tasks across quality functions including hardware, software, systems and suppliers/subcontractors, and customers. Proficient in company policies. Partners with program teams as the Quality Lead for design, development, production and mobilization phases of program execution. Performs contract reviews and flows down contract quality requirements to quality team, including suppliers. Establishes quality budgets and cost commitments. Serves on the program area Risk and Opportunity Review Boards; nominates risks and opportunities. Ensures Quality Assurance Plans are documented and current and implemented. Schedules and ensures assessments of program (e.g. quality audits). Participates in independent program reviews to understand risks and drive Return to Green plans. Maintains a DCMA/Customer quality relationship. Establishes and maintains effective Quality Program Team business rhythm. QPM analyzes quality performance data (manufacturing data and engineering design metrics) to identify trends, works cross functionally to drive and support root cause analysis and corrective actions, and raise quality performance issues to senior leadership, as needed. Support lesson learned activities. Willingness to work and collaborate cross site to build integrated systems with other Lockheed Martin businesses.
In a typical week, a QPM:
- Ensures Quality Engineering, Inspection and Auditor resources are in place to support surveillance activity and upcoming deliverables
- Flows Program and Quality related information to Quality Program Team (QPT)
- Reviews Quality data for trends (favorable or unfavorable) and performs root cause analysis as needed
- Communicates with DCMA and end-contract customers regarding upcoming joint customer events
- Collaborates with Engineering & Technology, Production Operations regarding process questions or changes.
- Provides Quality activity progress update and accomplishments in support of business rhythm.
- Provides back up support to other Bothell Quality functions, as needed.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors or masters degree or equivalent from an accredited college in an Engineering or related technical discipline
Quality/Development/Production/Process Engineering experience, Project Leadership skills,
Root Cause and Corrective Action facilitation experience
Strong Customer Relationship Management and Communication skills
Candidate must be able to obtain a DoD Secret Security Clearance. This requires US Citizenship.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Washington or Washington DC is $100,400 - $192,500 . Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
