job summary:
A Quality Engineer is needed for a world leading manufacturer of construction and mining equipment, diesel and natural gas engines, industrial gas turbines and diesel-electric locomotives in the Alpharetta, GA area. The Quality Engineer is responsible for testing and ensuring the design, functionality, and maintenance of products meet quality standards, conducting process audits, collaborating with teams, and resolving quality issues through analysis, corrective actions, and supplier inspections.

work hours: 8am to 4pm

responsibilities:
Researches and tests the design, functionality, and maintenance of products, equipment, systems, and processes.
Develops quality standards and devises sampling procedures.
Designs and develops forms and instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality and reliability data.
Establishes programs to evaluate precision and accuracy of production and testing equipment, measurement, and analytical tools.
May write training material and conduct quality control training sessions.
Skills:
Creativity, verbal and written communication, analytical, and problem-solving ability.
Ability to work as a team player and attention to detail.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and reports.
Familiarity with CAD and other engineering software.
Experience:
2-3 years of experience preferred.
Experience takes priority over formal education.
