SAIC's National Intelligence Community (NIC) Business Unit, USG Mission and Information Technology Division, provides solutions and services supporting digital modernization programs in areas such as systems engineering, multi-cloud computing, cybersecurity, data science and analytics, artificial intelligence and machine learning, quantum computing, application development, SecDevOps, cloud network operations, and secure communications.
We are seeking an Information Assurance Systems Engineer to join our team and leverage their technical expertise to provide systems engineering and architecture support in the areas of architecture and standards, systems engineering integration, evaluation and testing, systems engineering implementation, and application services to a cryptologic program. As an Information Assurance Engineer, you will identify, analyze, and recommend potential network and security architectures for the underlying infrastructure, on which the customer will develop, test, and operate lifecycle of physical production from ordering through production and distribution.
Your responsibilities will include the following:
Analyzing user requirements, concept of operations (CONOPs), and high-level system architectures to develop system requirement specifications
Assisting with the development of system requirements and functional requirements, as well as assisting with deriving lower-level requirements from higher-level allocated requirements
Employing basic information assurance mechanisms (e.g., identification, authentication, access control, and accountability) and security mechanism technology such as passwords, cryptography, discretionary access control, mandatory access control, hashing, key management, etc.
Performing systems engineering activities and assisting in the preparation of work products in technical process areas associated with ISO/IEC 15288
Developing system architecture and system design documentation
Developing derived requirements for information assurance services (confidentiality, integrity, non-repudiation)
Qualifications
Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Information Systems, or related discipline and nine (9) years or more experience; Master's degree and seven (7) years or more experience; PhD or JD and four (4) years or more experience
Experience coordinating development projects
Experience with the analysis of design and implementation alternatives, tradeoffs, and recommendations
Experience with the analysis of functional, system, and non-functional requirements, data flows, and dependencies
Architecture experience (DoDAF)
