LabCorp is seeking a Customer Service Rep for our Specimen Management department in Houston, TX .
This position will resolve issues on samples using multiple laboratory systems, as well as provide problem resolution via emails through internal LabCorp communication and communication with our clients.
Schedule: 1st Shift, Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM, with rotating Saturdays.
Job Duties/Responsibilities
Problem resolution of samples using PROC (problem resolution software)
Trouble shooting of problems to include:
Resolving Quantity Not Sufficient samples
Missing Samples
Ambiguous test orders
NSR (No Specimen Received) samples.
Name Discrepancy Samples
Providing customer service to branch laboratories through email and phone communication.
Contacting Clients for information and resolution to issues.
Compile various reports, and performing audits in department.
Work in multiple databases to research complex issues and questions.
Daily overtime as required as needed.
Requirements:
Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent w/1-3 years of applicable experience
Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
Previous experience with clinical samples strongly preferred; Accessioning/Processing experience a plus
Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite is required
Experience with Laboratory Information Systems is preferred
Strong verbal and written communication skills and excellent ability to listen and respond
Must be courteous with strong customer service orientation
Excellent multitasking abilities required
Strong flexibility and the ability to manage and adapt to changing priorities quickly
