Join our industry-leading transportation finance team as a specialist in toll traffic and revenue analysis and forecasting! You will have the opportunity to support clients nationally. As a member of our team, you will play a vital role in fulfilling CDM Smith's mission, leading project teams, and delivering a legendary client experience. Responsibilities include:
Leading project teams to create toll traffic and revenue forecasts for clients that exceed expectations. Project technical leadership includes creating and driving the technical vision for project execution; resourcing and scheduling; managing scope, budget, and contracts; interfacing with clients and project partners; delivering quality finished products on time; and developing and mentoring technical staff.
Performing and/or overseeing some or all of the following tasks: developing and utilizing four-step travel demand models to analyze transportation planning, traffic, and toll revenue; calibrating and validating highway assignment models; collecting and analyzing traffic and survey data; conducting micro-simulation modeling, including calibration of the base year model and validation of the future year model volume delay function for HOT/managed lane analyses; running sensitivity and stress tests to understand the potential impact of different factors on toll transactions and revenue; and developing tools to analyze and summarize traffic modeling databases; applying risk modeling procedures to develop baseline, midline, and modified scenarios by understanding the uncertainty and variability in critical input parameters; and -writing report sections describing completed work, processes used, results observed, and support/justification for recommendations and conclusions.
Conducting research on toll financing, congestion pricing, value of reliability, and value of time; working with multinomial logit models; and conducting interchange justification studies, signal design, signal timing, and capacity analyses using the highway capacity manual.
Providing technical guidance and training to junior staff members, mentoring junior staff members and helping them grow within the discipline and firm, and supervising the work of junior specialists on project work when needed.
Attending conferences and symposia to increase the visibility of our firm's products and services in collaboration with relevant sales staff.
Supporting the development of proposals to clients.
Performing other duties as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Urban, Community or Regional Planning or related discipline. AICP, PTP, PE, CEP or approved certification in a related field. Or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Urban, Community or Regional Planning or related discipline. 7 years of related experience with bachelors degree or 6 years of experience with Masters degree. Domestic and/or international travel may be required. The frequency of travel is contingent on specific duties, responsibilities, and the essential functions of the position, which may vary depending on workload and project demands. Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Background Check and Drug Testing Information:

Additional Compensation:
