Objectives and Overview:
Will be responsible for the production of all collateral for multiple brands. Duties include, but are not limited to mechanical production and design using industry standard software in a Mac OS environment, administration of all digital files in a share server environment, management of all workflow through the graphics department. .
Candidate must have strong communication skills, have keen attention to detail, have the ability to manage numerous projects simultaneously, and be able to meet the demands of tight deadlines. He/she must have strong desktop publishing skills and command of illustration tools.
He/she must be self-reliant, yet communicate closely with the R&D team and work directly with internal customers when instructed. Candidate must have the ability to discuss and comprehend technical aspects of the job and have a vast understanding of the production aspect of graphic design.
Scope of the responsibilities of the position :
Technical
Attention to detail a must; strong proofreading skills and ability to produce high quality work without errors.
Ability to understand and interpret technical specific information.
Must be proficient in Adobe Creative Suite 4, Quark 7, Microsoft Office, and FTP client software to be able to perform duties quickly and efficiently.
Experience working in a share server environment.
Understand design process from conception to final product and highly skilled in print and pre-press mechanical production.
Insure graphic standards are met consistently on all existing sample boards, new product marketing materials, sales sheets, as well as any other collateral as necessary.
Ability to implement design templates using Styles across several different marketing sampling tools.
Strong color skills and ability to color check photography and adjust RGB/CMYK values.
Manipulates product and room scene photography.
Responsible for proper naming conventions and maintaining all digital files for marketing on a continuous basis.
Gathers electronic images for online and print support.
Manage administration of Mac Share on server and organize and archive all digital assets so that they are current (includes applying naming conventions to all files that come from vendors and resaving digital files into current/proper formats).
Upload and maintain electronic files to web-based image library.
Maintain relationship with Information Systems all technical troubleshooting.
Conduct technical evaluation of hardware and software and recommend changes as necessary.
Design
Must have ability to apply and execute brand standards across marketing elements appropriately.
Must be able to apply branding approach on marketing tools.
Must have the ability to design branding to various creative elements including POP, Display Graphics and adaptations of existing ads.
Project Management
Manage all workflow through the graphics department with the ability to manage multiple projects with changing priorities, including but not limited to, design and production responsibilities.
Ensures that assigned projects are completed on time and meets set objectives.
Update project management tool & send out weekly report.
Ability to handle all requests for art or images from managers/field/vendors/publications.
Manage organization of job folders, project archives, art discs, color books and all other department documentation.
Manage organization of randoms for multiple brands.
Manage digital imaging process for multiple brands.
Process, color-check and approve all product photography including room scenes and product scans.
Manage virtual proofing process.
Develop process improvements.
Source and manage freelancers and contract designers.

Education/Knowledge
Bachelor's degree with major in marketing, communications or graphic design or equivalent.
5+ years' experience in graphic design. Equal experience in marketing/project management.
Proficient in Adobe, and Photoshop software.
Proficient with Tables in InDesign, extensive photo manipulation, and making files press ready a must.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Internet Applications.
