Description
Threat Intelligence Analyst with strong knowledge and experience with Department of Defense and Intelligence Community practices in protecting National Security. This Threat Intelligence Analyst will be immersed into a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment composed of a diverse team of analysts, linguists, cultural experts, and operations officers. The candidate should be particularly adept at, and have a background in, cultural, social, and political environments relating to cyber and virtual environments. This position requires strong critical thinking skills; the ability to write accurately and succinctly, to multi-task and accomplish tasks in fluid environments, and to rapidly respond to short-notice tasking. This position is not shift work.
Daily responsibilities may include:
Work in Cyber and Virtual Environment.
Demonstrate knowledge of defense and intelligence community operations, terminology, and structure.
Identifytrends, patterns of activity, and opportunities for action in support of threat-mitigation activities in both the cyber and real-world domains.
Knowledge and use of cryptocurrency.
Knowledge and experience of dark/deep web.
Understand and use idioms, colloquialisms, slangs with understanding of cultural, social, and political in both cyber and virtual environments.
Prepare information and tactical intelligence reports.
Strong and effective written and oral communication skills.
Exploitation using specialized tools and datasets.
Willingness and ability to work outside normal business hours.
Qualifications
Competitive candidates will have or exhibit the following:
Experience in Cyber and Virtual Environments.
Dark Web/Deep Web Experience.
Crypto Experience.
Strong critical thinking skills, the ability to write accurately and succinctly, and the ability to multi-task and accomplish tasks with limited direct supervision, and to respond to short-notice tasking.
Strong communication skills allowing for the succinct presentation of operational courses of action.
Knowledge in classified and unclassified tools for data exploitation and presentation.
Significant experience understanding and exploiting multiple sources of intelligence, including SIGINT, HUMINT, and OSINT.
Proven ability to identify national security threats and opportunities for exploitation.
Strong operational security practices.
High comfort level in interacting with a wide variety of government leadership and contractor personnel.
Ability to operatein a diverse, evolving, and high-profile environment.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Three (3) years or more working within National Security, Department of Defense or US Intelligence Community.
Bachelor's Degree or International Equivalent in International Studies, Intelligence and Security, Foreign Affairs, or related field of study.
Current Certification - Offensive Security Certified Professional GIAC Certified Penetration Tester.
Formal Cyber knowledge, experience, coursework and certifications.
Experience with DoD andIC tools and databases.
Experience creating written and/or briefed products and demonstrating findings.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
