The Associate Cloud Security Engineer will support the deployment, integration, and operationalization of the Cloud Security Posture Management and Cloud Workload Protection Platform within a multi-cloud environment. This engineer will work closely with senior engineers and other IT professionals to ensure we maintain and improve upon enterprise-wide visibility initiatives related to cloud-based technologies and services.

Primary Responsibilities:
Maintain and improve upon the use and integration of the CSPM and CWPP tools in a multi-cloud environment
Assist with the design, implementation and management of security controls to safeguard cloud infrastructure and data
Conduct security assessments and audits to ensure compliance with federal regulations and standards
Collaborate with cross functional teams to identify security requirements and develop solutions
Develop and maintain security documentation including policies and procedures
Stay current with emerging security threats and technologies, providing recommendations for continuous improvement
Solves ambiguous, complex problems with sustainable solutions that will work with a diverse set of customers across multiple cloud service providers

Required Qualifications:
High School diploma/GED (or higher)
6+ months of experience working with basic cloud computing services and concepts
Intermediate level of proficiency with networking concepts and protocols
Intermediate level of proficiency with security principals, protocols and tools
Intermediate level of proficiency with common security threats and vulnerabilities
Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and challenges
Preferred Qualifications:
Relevant security certifications - CompTIA Security+, AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, or similar
Familiarity with security frameworks and standards (e.g. NIST)
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Solid understanding of fundamental security principles/concepts (Networking, Encryption, IAM)
Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex security issues and develop effective solutions
Basic experience with scripting or programming languages such as Bash or Python
