GENERAL FUNCTION

The Account Manager implements and executes sales strategies for specified Footprint Account customers in their assigned region.

The Account Manager drives building business relationships with customers and building brand awareness, equities, and supporting brand standards for designated brands.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supports Footprint Accounts with development of new businesses and management of prospective Footprint Account customers by helping with account setup.

  • Develops customer sales strategies by brand to achieve sales goals as established by the Director of Footprint Accounts.

  • Develops sales calendar with each account uniquely, based on the product assortment, product releases, early releases, SMUs and Collabs, as defined by the Footprint calendar and Footprint Director.

  • Implements and manages assortment/plan by brand at the customer level and setups/reinforces weekly replenishment systems.

  • Forecasts monthly sales and special projects to the Director of Footprint Accounts.

  • Provides analysis of account sales, inventory, marketing initiatives and merchandising presentations.

  • Maintains the door report for accounts in the region to track brand distribution.

  • Provides recap of customer meetings with specific action items and follows up required parties to ensure timely and satisfactory completion of tasks.

  • Interfaces with Inventory Team on inventory needs and changes to customer assortments.

  • Analyzes launch and open order reports weekly and interfaces with sales operations team to ensure customer shipping dates and requirements are met.

  • Increases retail sellout with customers by executing strategies by brand with 360 approach, utilizing trade marketing tools and in-store service support.

  • Establishes merchandising program in line with direction from corporate office, customized to meet customer needs. Communicates monthly store visit priorities by customer to the FMR Team.

  • Builds and maintains strong working relationships and leverages brand portfolio with Footprint account customers.

  • Coordinates needs with Marketing Team, inclusive of advertised images, launch materials, launch dates, POP needs for customers. Leads project tracking for Trade Marketing initiatives.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent experience

  • 5+ years of previous account management, sales, or marketing experience in the Footprint channel

  • Experienced in onsite account sales presentations

  • Broad understanding of account sales management and good business judgment

  • Strong communication skills with ability to interact and negotiate effectively at all levels within the organization as well as with customers

  • Strong PC skills, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint

  • Ability to self-motivate and self-manage to meet deadlines and goals

  • Experienced in preparing sales presentations and presenting to audiences

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in business management - sales

  • Demonstrated track record of success in a similar role, ideally in optical or sunglass industry

  • Department store account management experience
