AWS is growing rapidly, and we are looking for a Data Center Security Manager (DSM) to join our expanding Infrastructure Operations team, who will help manage and improve site security operations in our data centers.

Key job responsibilities

The selected individual will be responsible for managing physical security operations, developing post orders, defining security procedures, handling site incidents, working with security equipment, participating in construction projects and to drive day-to-day process improvement activities and managing vendors.

Duties include ensuring consistent deployment of all required security policies and procedures and participate in re-occurring site audits and reviews and testing new security technologies.

Must have and demonstrate resilient leadership skills, flexibility to work in dynamic environment, exceptional knowledge of security practices and strong written and verbal communication.

Basic Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience acting in a Program Security Officer, Security Specialist, or a Security Manager capacity in which duties required interpreting and implementing requirements within the personnel, industrial, and physical security disciplines and overseeing security operations.

  • 4+ years of experience demonstrating knowledge of physical security best practices to include, but not limited to: application of physical security systems, investigation techniques, management of security vendors/contractors and incident management and workplace safety.

  • 4+ years of experience with Microsoft Office tools and related software.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Military or government security experience

  • Entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to drive program security projects independently.

  • Desire to step outside the box and your comfort zone to take ownership of projects and domains not in your range of expertise.

  • ASIS CPP, PSP, PMI PMP or other related certifications.

  • Experience in access control and video surveillance systems (e.g. LENEL).

  • Experience with workflow ticketing and extraction of performance metrics
