The CV Operator / Specimen Accessioner . works in fast paced, production type environment performing a vital component of medical laboratory science. Receive on the job training for the pre-analytical processing of medical samples.
Schedule : Tuesday - Friday 5:45am-2:15pm, Saturday 7:30am-4:00pm; Some overtime may be required

Key Responsibilities:
Process client samples from a variety of clients while adhering to the SOP
Complete all documents accurately and neatly. Monitor chain of custody, and custody and control forms for completeness and acceptability
Perform manual aliquotting
Consolidate samples into batches
Operate the CV automated aliquot machine, loading and unloading samples
Perform routine maintenance of CV machine and document accordingly
Organize work to maintain efficiency and acceptable turn-around-time
Required Education, Experience, Skills and Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Must be able to perform work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Work effectively in a fast paced, high volume production environment to meet established turn-around-times
Must be able to distinguish colors, including shades of colors
Able to regularly lift, carry, push/pull, stoop, lift above head, and rotate/turn with up to 30 pounds
Must be able to stand/walk for significant durations during their shift; up to 8 hours
Able to work independently under general supervision
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
