This leadership role is within the Double Eagle organization, supporting the Flight Operations Team and reporting directly to the Mission Operations Manager, who maintains overall functional authority and responsibility for the team. As the Associate Manager, you will administratively manage two teams of 24/7 crews.

Duties include supervision, guidance, performance management, budget, staffing, personnel management. You will assign work, establish processes and perform technical tasks. This position requires approximately 60% technical contribution in an OSSE area, such as creating and maintaining Ops procedures and documentation, H/W and S/W integration and general Ops Support. Position requires completion of formal training program and qualification. May require candidate to support after hours activities on occasion.

This role will include interaction with external organizations and leadership events.

Candidate should have operations experience, leadership skills, and a strong desire to help the greater team be successful. Candidate will be required to maintain a technical role on the team that is independent of their management role, potentially be on-call, and occasionally work off-shift hours, responding to program needs.

Basic Qualifications:

- Minimum 2 years Space mission operations experience

- Leadership experience of a technical team as team lead, project lead, or formal leader

- Demonstrated Full Spectrum Leadership experience with diverse teams

- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner to varying levels of employees, management and customers

- Ability to multi-task, especially to perform multiple assignments while meeting competing deadlines

- Must have an active TS/SCI clearance and CI poly

Desired Skills:

- Double Eagle subsystem domain experience

- Experience with cost account management, project planning and logistics

- Experience with 24x7 operations support, to include recall of key personnel

- Experience with spacecraft anomaly response/resolution

- Previous functional, matrixed, project or team/crew leadership experience

- Experience as a Team Lead or Crew Lead either full time or in a relief/vacation role

- Experience with WIKI

- Experience using Markdown to create template documentation

- Experience with GIT

- Excellent communications skills

- Previous or current certification as a Senior Operations Controller and/or On-Shift Technical Advisor

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: Standard Monday to Friday 40 hour work week

Pay Rate:

The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Washington or Washington DC is $100,400 - $192,500 . Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.
