Job Description:
The Clinical Assistant assists RN, Physician and other providers and provides direct patient care in the ambulatory care setting to contribute to meeting the mission and goals of Essentia Health. The Clinical Assistant assists the physician or provider and performs identified procedures for which competencies have been demonstrated. Cares for patients ranging in age from newborn to elderly as noted on age-related category. Position requires high level of customer service skills to establish and enhance positive relationships with patients, co-workers, and others.
Licensure/Certification Qualifications:
-Current BLS (or within 1 month of hire or transfer) -Current Minnesota LPN with the State of Minnesota Board of Nursing. OR -Current Certification as a Medical Assistant. Medical Assistants hired before July 1st, 2015 have 1 year from date of hire or transfer to achieve Certification as a Medical Assistant
