Area Manager Job Description
Reporting to a District Manager , Area Manager is a front-line management position responsible for oversee ing and lead ing DW operations with in a defined geographic area. A M is responsible for fulfillment of services to customers and leading technicians .
Operations ( 50 - 60 %)
Lead and manage a team to maximize effective ness and efficien cy of resources, technicians, and capital.
Expediently and professionally address all customer, operational, and performance concerns.
Walk customer inventory to identify future workload requirements and QC repairs.
Meet regularly with customers to discuss service levels , repair quality, cycle-time performance and other issues that drive customer satisfaction .
Ensure technicians possess the necessary skills , resources, equipment, and information to deliver high quality repairs and customer service.
Communicate to keep team informed and up to date in critical information, expectations, company news, etc.
On-board new empl o yees, setting them up for success by educ ating them on role, expectations, processes , and policies.
Closely support direct reports/managers optimizing production and day-to-day operations .
Sales and Business Development ( 10 - 15 %)
Work with DM and/or DSM to develop and execute a revenue growth plan to sell additional services within existing customers.
Partner with DM and DSM to sell new customers and maximize existing business opportunities .
Build and solidif y relationships with key customers and network to initiate relationships with prospective customers .
Drive results using strategic selling skills and negotiation abilities that create a win-win for the customer and Dent Wizard.
Personnel ( 20 - 3 0%)
Create a positive, productive working environment consistent with Dent Wizard's Core Values .
Recruit, hire and retain technician base at or above budgeted targets.
Conduct informal and formal performance reviews ensuring employees know their strengths and opportunities for improvement .
Communicate regularly, consistently, effectively, and candidly to keep team informed and address issues .
Identif y performance issues and develop and implement plans to address and redirect .
Administration (10- 15 %)
Implements accurate customer inventory management and invoicing processes .
Maintain equipment in good working order and adequate supplies to perform work expeditiously.
M anage and enforce company policies to ensure compliant and safe working environment.
E valuat e and recommend investment decisions regarding headcount, coverage patterns, equipment, etc.
Required Qualifications
Combined minimum experience of 3 years in a district route and auction leadership role required
Profitable management of a P&L of at least $1.5M in revenue annually
Experience managing other leaders and staffs of 20
Travels overnight approximately 10 - 20%
