Job Summary:
THE ROLE:
The Zero Waste Captain will help administer our sustainability programs to become a zero-waste venue through sorting and educating others. Partners with the Venue Sustainability Coordinator. Hours per week will vary depending on show schedule and business needs.
JOB FUNCTIONS:
Team with others in an activity that has a real and immediate impact on zero-waste goals
Assist in the sorting process of all recycling, composting and landfill materials
Engage and encourage fans to participate in our sustainability programs
Be an ambassador to help other crew members to understand their role in achieving the venue's sustainability goals and assist with employee engagement programs
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must present unexpired original document(s) establishing identity and authorization to work in the United States
A clear pre-employment criminal background check is required
Experience in zero waste events are a plus
Ability to spend prolonged periods of time walking, bending, reaching, stooping, lifting and carrying 50+ lbs., indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions, helping and overseeing the sorting of materials
Must have a positive attitude
Must have excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
Creative thinker, self-starter and problem solver
Complete in-person and computer module training as required
Reliable transportation is required
Must attend employee orientation and complete required online training modules
