We offer a hybrid 3-2 work schedule (three days in the office, two days of teleworking) to accommodate the need for flexibility.

Military service members and veterans with ranks from E5-E9, W1-CW5, or O3-O6, plus appropriate equivalent combination of education and years of experience as outlined below will be considered for this opportunity.

Job Summary

This role is fully competent in most aspects of project coordination support in designated regions or specific project type. Distinguished from Project Specialists' I or II by the increased complexity and magnitude of projects assigned and responsible for. Applies knowledge and technical skills to provide project management, design support, and procurement of materials, and direction to designers and contractor personnel. Responsible for project success through all phases of project lifecycle: Initiation, Planning, Execution, Construction, and Project Close-out. Independently provides project coordination necessary to support requirements of designated assignment or project. Responsibilities: Serve as single point of contact with key stakeholders; facilitate stakeholder meetings. Analyze and evaluate existing process improvements to ensure quality assurance and compliance with company/regulatory standards. Lead the development and management of work plans, budgets, and resources, while providing leadership and direction necessary to drive expectations and successful completion. Coordinate design and right-of-way acquisition. Review project scope/schedule; assist with resolutions of any quality issues with third party customers and/or supplies. Monitor work to ensure compliance with approved quality plans and procedures. Provide training as needed for contractor resources, as well as design staff to ensure consistency across the system. Interpret and communicate company policies and procedures to customers. Responsible for document control; ensure proper close out documentation requirements have been completed (change orders, as-builts, etc.). Independently coordinates with internal and external customers for the design and installation of electric distribution facilities including complex residential, complex commercial, industrial, governmental reliability, and planning projects.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

The knowledge, skills, abilities and experiences that are required for entry into this job include the following:

  • 5+ years of directly related experience with project coordination;

  • Strong knowledge of distribution design, electricity, company policies and procedures and mainframe and personal computer;

  • Demonstrates leadership skills;

  • Skills: good written, verbal and interpersonal communication; math and technical aptitude; time management and organization; project management; analytical;

  • Abilities: adaptable to change, demonstrate initiative, effectively interact with customers; teaming; detail oriented;

  • Physical attributes required to perform essential functions of the job: walking, climbing, stooping, bending and prolonged standing.

Required Degree (equivalency not accepted in lieu of required degree):

GED

High School Graduate

Driver's license and ability to drive.
