Our client, a leading logistics company, is seeking a Material Handler to join their team. As a Material Handler, you will be part of the Warehouse team supporting the storage, movement, and handling of different goods, supplies, and materials. The ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail, be able to work in a fast-paced environment, and have experience operating heavy machinery.
Job Title: Material Handler
Location: Carol Stream, IL
Pay Range: $21.00 per hour
What's the Job?
Operate lift trucks or hand trucks to convey, move or hoist materials to proper departments or areas.
Operate the stretch wrap banders.
Perform all computer functions necessary to track various aspects of goods.
Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations.
What's Needed?
Able to operate a stand-up and sit-down forklift.
The employee is occasionally required to lift up to 40 pounds.
Two (2) years' experience working with heavy machinery, forklifts, or other related equipment preferred.
