During this internship, time is focused on summer long projects with other students and full-time, experienced teammates. CRE Summer Analyst Program Overview:
The CIG CRE Summer Analyst Program will run for approximately 10 weeks in the summer months. The Summer Analyst Program will consist of:
Activities: Networking socials, case studies and presentations, team-building projects
Executive Speaker Series: CEO, Heads of Lines of Businesses, among others
Community Service: Opportunities to participate in various volunteer initiatives are provided and involvement is strongly encouraged
The opportunity to interact with all of the sub lines of businesses within Commercial Real Estate - gaining an understanding of the broad CRE universe that we cover in CIG CRE
Top performing Summer Analysts may be offered the opportunity to continue in full-time positions in CIG CRE upon graduation.
Job Description :
Candidates in the Commercial Real Estate Summer Analyst Program are placed within the CIG CRE Credit Delivery team supporting the Institutional Private Capital, National Real Estate or Truist Community Capital verticals.
The CIG CRE Credit Delivery Summer Analyst will assist the CRE Credit Delivery team with underwriting and managing the debt capital CRE commits to its client base whether it be Private Owners and Operators, Institutional Real Estate, Multifamily Capital, or Community Capital. Summer Analysts will work with Portfolio Managers, Relationship Managers, Product Specialists, and Risk Managers to deliver capital and strategic ideas to the CRE client base. Post close of a debt funded transaction, Summer Analysts will assist the Portfolio Managers as they lead the credit relationship with their clients and actively manage and monitor the credit profile and exposure levels across their portfolios.
Credit Delivery Summer Analysts' career paths begin with a structured training program that includes accounting, modeling, corporate finance, underwriting and financial analysis training followed by placement within one of CRE's verticals. Through exposure to a wide variety of lending transactions, Analysts will enhance their financial and industry analysis skills, build expertise in corporate finance and underwriting, and develop a comprehensive understanding of their portfolio of clients.
Training and Development:
Summer Analysts will benefit from on-the-job, online, and self-directed training and development opportunities. Each intern will be paired with a mentor who will provide guidance, mentorship, and coaching. Additionally, Summer Analysts will participate in activities like community involvement projects and networking events, and they will gain leadership insight and exposure through a speaker series.

Minimum Requirements :
Scheduled graduation of December 2024 or May/June 2025
Overall GPA of 3.0 (minimum)
Proven analytical ability and attention to detail
Solid leadership and interpersonal skills
Superior written and oral communication skills
Ability to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Preferred Requirements :
Real Estate, Business, Accounting, or Math major; all majors considered
Prior completion of Accounting or Finance coursework
High degree of academic and extracurricular achievement
Willingness to commit substantial time and energy to the program
