Let's talk salary. The salary range for this position based on what we are asking you to do in the role starts at $80,000 and goes up to $96,000, based on qualifications and level. We'd like to start somewhere in that ballpark and go from there. As a Defense Contractor, we are frequently working with sensitive material, and therefore, we need to ensure where you access your work is secure. You will have your own new, shiny desk at one of our G2 Ops offices, plus the occasional opportunity to work on-site directly with our customers (this is a good thing!). We do allow teleworking with prior IT Department and manager approval. Still not convinced? Allow us to elaborate. For this opportunity, we are seeking a highly motivated, team-oriented Procurement Specialist. This exciting position will be responsible for acquiring body for software and IT purchases for customers. This individual will be responsible for developing relationships with various software and IT vendors to ensure quality and negotiate prices to meet the needs of the customer. The Procurement Specialist will evaluate proposals, select vendors, and develop processes and procedures associated with procurement. You will perform the full range of procurement and administration activities to include:

  • Negotiating terms and conditions and pricing.

  • Reviewing and analyzing bids.

  • Maintains the Approved Supplier list.

  • Performing cost and/or price analysis.

  • Directing management and program managers on procurement issues relating to government, commercial and international subcontracts.

  • Coordinating competitive and sole source procurements to meet required dates and prepares required support documentation.

  • Performing Price Analysis for material, services, and travel.

What does this mean to you? We have a need for someone who has about 2-5 years of experience in government contracting, procurement, and subcontract administration with proposal, pricing, and close-out experience. We need someone who is skilled with various types of contracts, including FFP, CPFF, T&M, and various IDIQ types, etc. and negotiating complex terms and conditions in a high-volume procurement environment. To be successful in the role, you will need to be able to quickly navigate ELAs, EAs, MSAs and purchasing cloud services for all mission owners. A basic understanding of the differences among hardware, software, SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS and how to shop these items and negotiate pricing is essential. Our ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Business, Political Science, Pre-Law, or a similar. Qualified candidates will have knowledge of FAR and procuring for government contracts and experience buying for government contracts.

Lastly, as we are working for the DoD, we are beholden to some requirements. To be considered for this position you must be eligible for a U.S. Secret Security Clearance.
