The Corporate Meetings Manager is a critical partner to our teams. This role creates, builds and executes bookings, venues, travel and logistics planning for small and large venue company meetings and conferences. Whether their internal clients are meeting at World HQ, in company offices worldwide or offsite, the Meetings Manager ensures outstanding planning, execution and travel vendor excellence allow our teams to maximize their time and drive company results. *RESPONSIBILITIES-* * Coordinates company meeting details, both small and large conferences. * Coordinates and maintains online registration process including tracking, reporting, and key data metrics. * Identifies, negotiates and selects vendors/suppliers to reduce costs, minimize risks/penalties and ensure favorable incentives are achieved. * Provides excellent service and maintains professional relationships with internal clients while responding to questions and requests. * Creates and coordinates meeting materials preparation such as confirmations, welcome packets, final documents mailings, name badges, signage. * Conducts research on various venues and vendors and/or space sourcing to accommodate planned meetings and events. * Maintains vendor database and research. * Acts as partner with VP of Global Meetings & Travel to streamline event technology tool. Identifies actionable strategies to improve user experience while ensuring adherence to global compliance policies and regulations. * Supervises vendor services on-site. * Consolidates, organizes & streamlines information and drafts suggestions and proposals for meetings and events. * Contributes to brainstorming sessions and enjoys sharing personal creative input. * Demonstrates thought leadership while solving problems and exhibits good judgment with clients, vendors, and staff. * Assists the VP of Global Meetings & Travel in planning and implementation of meeting and event plans. * Coordinates the preparation, editing and dissemination of materials for meetings, trades show and special events. * Assist with travel coordination and other events as assigned. * Assists with preparation and analysis of budgets and proposals. Prepares necessary reports to track project meeting progress including rooming lists, meeting evaluations, budgets and identifying and analyzing cost savings initiatives. * In accordance with Skechers accounting practices processes all vendor and staff payments *REQUIREMENTS-* * 2+ years of experience working as a Meeting Coordinator, Hotel Conference Services Coordinator, Hotel Catering Coordinator, or event Management Company preferred. Knowledge of online booking tools/meeting planning software a plus. * Working knowledge of hotels contracts, catering, hotel room blocks, BEOs, audiovisual, staging, production and party design. * Excellent organizational, time management, writing and communication skills. * Excellent customer service and hospitality skills. * Works well independently as well as on a team. * Resourceful and creative self-starter. * Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel), Adobe * Exceptional attention to detail.
