Our client, a leading food production company, is seeking two QA Technicians to join their team. As a QA Technician, you will be part of the Quality Assurance department supporting the frozen and salsa plant operations in Deming, NM. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of USDA and FDA standards, technical ability to show and explain QA procedures on the floor, and bi-lingual English/Spanish ability, which will align successfully in the organization.

Pay Range: $15.75
What's the Job?
Complete a specific Quality Adherence procedure on one of the production lines or areas
Perform QA procedures to maximum effect as evidenced by successfully performing against internal and external audits
Operating knowledge of food production equipment including, but not limited to fillers, depositors, kettles, conveyors, freezers, case erectors, case packers
Operating knowledge of LOTOTO procedures
Work cross functionally with sanitation and production operations and planning to achieve adherence to all QA standards
Work cross functionally with Production, WH, Sanitation, and Maintenance to minimize quality issues, adhere to CCPs and proactively address food safety requirements related to USDA, FDA, SQF, and organic requirements in order to maintain the highest food safety and quality standards
Interacts with regulatory compliance agencies (i.e. USDA, FDA, etc.) as needed
Takes personal responsibility for achieving production and food safety goals and standards in the company's operations
What's Needed?
Understanding and experience with USDA, FDA/FSMA, SQF standards and regulations
Understanding and experience with HACCP/HARPC, GMPs, SOPs
Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations
Technical ability to show and explain QA procedures on the floor
Bi-lingual English / Spanish ability
Microsoft Office and data entry skills
Demonstrated ability to direct, coach, and train employees
