ENTERPRISE PROCESS DEVELOPMENT AND SOFTWARE ENGINEER (STARLINK)

Starlink, our revolutionary satellite constellation, will deliver low-latency broadband internet worldwide. We are currently building the foundational teams that will support enterprise sales and our consumer go to market strategy. As an Enterprise Process Development and Software Engineer, you would be a critical member enabling Starlink's early enterprise go-to-market strategy by ensuring the business develops appropriately to best serve the commercial opportunity. You will lead the charge on scoping and developing key software tools our network engineering and sales teams utilize to serve various enterprise verticals and respond to specific customer needs. You'll work with a broad degree of autonomy and be key player in Starlink's success.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Identify, scope, and prototype software tools to enable enterprise sales teams to operationalize sales and fulfillment in the most efficient way possible.

  • Create prototypes of various customer-facing tools to highlight Starlink's differentiating capabilities in support of proposals and negotiations.

  • Interface closely with network engineering teams to develop analysis tools and network features to enable enterprise customer activation and capacity analysis.

  • Work in concert with application software teams to mature prototype tooling and related application software.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, math, or scientific discipline; or 2+ years of industry experience building software.

  • Experience with full stack development.

  • Programming experience in JavaScript and Python.

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • 1+ years of rigorous experience building web applications.

  • Front-end experience in React and back-end experience in Node.js.

  • Experience with web sockets and REST APIs.

  • Database experience with PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or similar database technologies.

  • Experience with UNIX-like operating systems, production experience with Docker.Bias to action, and demonstrated capability of -shipping product- in short time frames.

  • Strong understanding of hardware and software engineering first principles.

  • Demonstrated ability to challenge requirements and synthesize true user needs.

  • Strong understanding of satellite communication technologies.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to work extended hours, weekends, and offsite as required.

  • Travel will be needed to support remote customers (up to ~10%).
