Job Description:
The laboratory processing technician is responsible for receiving, processing, and distributing laboratory specimens. This also includes specimens that are forwarded to reference laboratories. Answering phone calls and providing follow through is required. This individual must have excellent customer service skills to establish and enhance positive relationships with patients, coworkers and others. The laboratory processing technician may participate in specimen collection and laboratory billing as required.
