Dal-Tile is currently seeking an exceptional Transportation Analyst to join our TEAM! As the Transportation Analyst, we need someone who is ready to work closely with the Operations Manager, dispatchers/planners and RDC on LTL shipments and provide issue resolution.
Primary Objective
The Transportation Analyst is responsible for the track and tracing and issue resolution for Dal-Tile LTL shipments. This role is responsible for acting as a key point of contact for Dal-Tile LTL carriers and resolving discrepancies. This individual is also responsible for analyzing all un-match freight invoices; communicating with carriers, DC personnel, and internal team members while understanding service level agreements and key performance indicators.
Major Function and Scope
Work closely with the Operations Manager, dispatchers/planners and RDC on LTL shipments and provide issue resolution.
Communicates with internal and external customers and carriers on LTL shipment status.
Serve as the main point of contact for Dal-Tile LTL carriers and maintain LTL carrier relationships.
Organize transportation activities for products roll out.
Assist in Freight Audit and Pay process
Owns the Dal-Tile domestic carriers onboarding process and identify areas of improvement.
Special projects and participation in various initiatives, including new system implementation, updates or upgrades.
Provide feedback to management on service issues and all available options to minimize failures.
Perform ad hoc analysis.
Experience and Knowledge Required
High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree strongly preferred.
Ability to respond effectively to customers, agents, associates and managers.
Ability to analyze problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts and apply concepts pertinent to the field.
Proficiency in Microsoft office applications and have aptitude to learn technical applications quickly.
Practical knowledge of SAP and/or TMS system strongly desired.
3+ years transportation/distribution experience.
Competencies
Strong analytical capability and excellent written and oral communication skills.
Ability to formulate and implement action plans.
