Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is seeking a full-time Early Career Sustainment Engineer. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the development, evaluation and improvement of manufacturing methods for the ALIS/ODIN hardware. This role will include but not be limited to:

- Analyze and help plan work force utilization, space requirements, workflow and design layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.

- Communicate manufacturing capabilities, production schedules or other information to facilitate production processes

- Confer with vendors in order to determine specifications of products and arrange equipment, material purchase and parts

- Adhere to production standards (e.g., maintain cleanliness of work area, etc.)

- Follow all Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and procedures

- Perform other duties as assigned

This position will include "hands on" work with the equipment along with personal interaction with field staff, management, and at times the government customer. This is a fast paced position and will require a high level of attention to detail.

Must be a US Citizen.; This position will require a government security clearance.

Basic Qualifications:

- Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field

- Ability to follow written and verbal directions

- Ability to meet deadlines

- Ability to work independently and collaborate and integrate high performance multi-functional teams

- Great verbal & written communication skills

- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify process improvements and innovative solutions.

- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, able to collaborate effectively with others.

- Demonstrated curiosity, proactivity, and willingness to take on challenges in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment.

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
