Groups using the 3-2 schedule:

We offer a hybrid 3-2 work schedule (three days in the office, two days of teleworking) to accommodate the need for flexibility.

Job Summary

The successful intern(s) will be working under the direction of a Supervisor/Mentor. This role researches, creates, secures and processes easements, quitclaims and other related distribution rights-of-way documentation. Coordinate and maintain communication with both internal and external customers, including legal representation, municipalities, title companies, surveyors, environmental, Dominion's internal legal department, landowners and other entities pertaining to questions, the acquisition or proof of new and existing rights. Responsible for maintaining and managing accurate workload records. Learning and enforcing Rights of Way policies and procedures. Perform other duties as requested or assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

  • Personal computer software applications including Microsoft Office. AutoCad experience preferred.

  • Verbal, written and interpersonal communication; time management and organization; math and technical aptitude.

  • Effectively interact with customers; work in a team; attention to detail; understand and apply work flow process.

  • Physical attributes to perform essential function of the job in the field and during storm trouble - walking, climbing, stooping, bending and prolonged standing.

  • Student must be enrolled in 4-year program or in a 2-year program with intent to transfer to 4-year institution.

  • Prefer Students with a graduation date of Spring 2025 or later .

  • Preferred degrees : Eng Tech, Const Mgmt, Business, Economics, Education, Liberal Arts

  • Interest in Building and Construction project management a plus.

  • Must have a 2.5 GPA or greater.

  • Must possess a valid driver's license and be able to drive a company vehicle.

Education Requirements

  • Student must be enrolled in 4-year program or in a 2-year program with intent to transfer to 4-year institution.

  • Prefer students who have a graduation date of Spring 2025 or later.

  • Engineering-degreed students in an ABET accredited program will not be considered for this position. All Engineering Technology degrees are acceptable. Interest in Building and Construction project management a plus.

  • Must have a 2.5 GPA or greater.
