ThePricing Analystfor Commercial bids atBatteries Pluswill develop, implement, evaluate and manage commercial pricing strategies. ThePricing Analystwill provide commercial pricing support to commercial sales coaches for larger volume opportunities while projecting out annual commercial spend dollars to ensure support falls within budget.

Responsibilities:
Commercial Pricing
Work with the Commercial Sales Team on volume/bid opportunities to identify product specifications, quantity and price targets.
Helps implement key tactics that support pricing strategies.
Negotiate volume pricing with vendor(s) to aid stores in hitting pricing targets.
Work with product support and product management to find alternative product options when necessary.
Collaborate with management to implement new pricing initiatives.
Active participant in pricing strategies. Verify that bid pricing falls within established guidelines
Develop and maintain a tracking process for bids (opportunities sent out, won, lost, etc).
Create and maintain processes for bid follow up and 'closing the loop' (new bids, bids lost, bids won).
Collaborate with Sales and Operations to assess new account or product opportunities and develop clear and strategic pricing models.
Prepare write-ups and presentations for various levels of management.
Reporting and Analysis
Develop and maintain specialized bid pricing and analysis processes.
Complete monthly forecasting of bid spend based on ongoing contracts.
Produce financial analyses with a strong understanding of budget analysis and forecasting models.
Complete financial analysis for each bid opportunity to determine profitability and to ensure support falls within budget.
Assess opportunities to value engineers or propose alternatives to the customer that may result in cost savings to the customer or a competitive advantage.
Additional commercial reporting for vendor partners where required.
Provide regular and ad-hoc pricing analysis and reporting to management.
Develop and distribute monthly bid activity reporting.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management or related field. Will consider work experience in lieu of education.
3+ years of experience in purchasing, finance, accounting or business-related field
1+ years forecasting and analysis experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Intermediate skills with spreadsheets and word processing software
Experience with Google Suite and Great Plains software
Knowledge of contract language and structure
