Description
Responsible for ensuring the appropriate operational security posture is maintained for all information system (IS) on multiple security domains and classification to meet Intelligence Community (IC) cybersecurity/information assurance regulations and policies. Maintains smooth security operation of numerous computer systems, including coordination with infrastructure engineers, software developers, and data scientists. Develops solutions to problems of unusual complexity, which require a high degree of ingenuity, creativity, and innovativeness. Responsible for planing, implementing, and monitoring all security aspects of the project. Challenges are frequently unique and solutions may serve as precedent for future decisions. Acts as advisor to customer management, co-workers, and serves as organizational lead on all security related items. Leads all accreditation requirements from beginning to ATO working with co-workers to ensure all security documentation and artifacts are provided.
Qualifications
Required:
TS/SCI with FSP
Bachelor's degree (four years of relevant experience may substitute in lieu of a degree) and (15) years or more of related experience. Masters and (13) years or more experience; PhD or JD and (10) years or more experience.
Desired:
Minimum of 5 years of experience as an ISSO/ISSM
CIISP strongly desired
Minimum 5 years of demonstrated experience writing security procedures/standards
Self-starter with excellent people skills - able to work across teams, organize meetings/boards, and drive change throughout an organization
Expertise with USG accreditation process and procedures: Working with management, internal teams, and Customer's authorities to successfully navigate the accreditation process for all systems
Experience overseeing day-to-day compliance and risk management activities to protect security of information and systems
Experience creating, updating, maintaining, and interpreting required Body of Evidence (BOE) documentation, as well as Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M)
Documenting responses to required controls and updating as necessary in USG systems
Experience training co-workers on all aspects of security related to the program
Expertise maintaining system baselines, inventory and configuration management of all accountable property
