In this role you are accountable for ensuring the successful delivery of one or more Omnichannel portfolio programs across Gap Inc.'s stores and digital platforms. This includes real-time relevant business communications and engagement to ensure our capabilities' uptime and performance meets the operating need. This role will be responsible for the strategy, planning, and delivery of technology solutions in partnership with senior leaders from GapTech Engineering and Product Management, as well as Brand partners. This role will be responsible for leading cross-functional teams in the delivery and maintenance of technology solutions within the Omnichannel program portfolio.
This role is based out of the San Francisco office. Currently, job duties are being performed remotely. However, the Company may in the future require you/this role to be in the office on a full-time or part-time basis. What You'll Do
Coordinate execution of end to end technology strategies across Product Management, Engineering and Architecture teams to support funded portfolio initiatives.
Demonstrate advanced knowledge of TPM functional processes and business function.
Possess excellent organization, communication, and team building skills, as well as the ability to influence others in order to deliver the desired business outcomes.
Interface with senior management in driving strategic planning and decisioning, and ultimately manage the delivery and execution of business capabilities.
Maintain and report out on the overall program status, including: estimation and sizing; funding approvals; progress to key milestones; issue remediation; risk mitigation; resource capacity planning; financial oversight; etc.
Manage multiple stores and digital technology product teams through all phases of the software development lifecycle.
Manage the portfolio lifecycle, facilitating application strategy and planning processes, ensuring portfolio delivery success in a modern Dev Ops/agile operating model, including financial accountability.
Who You Are
Coordinate and collaborate with Product Management and Engineering in the planning and execution of programs
Proficient in all aspects of PM/scrum process and demonstrates ability to execute processes
Facilitate ideation and solutioning during planning phase of major projects involving store and digital technologies
Responsible for supporting program delivery, leveraging a good understanding of tools and processes such as solutioning, estimating, forecasting, capacity management, status reporting, risks/issue management and program plan
Facilitate risk mitigation and contingency planning; surface issues and risks; remove blockers and initiate and manage escalations, as required
Communicate business critical status to various stakeholders, including regular communications to leadership; Leadership experience to guide and influence stakeholder decisions, articulating options, trade offs and recommendations
Understand process and team responsibilities associated with code development and implementations and/or infrastructure designs and implementations
Skilled in matrix management and facilitation
Engage in the continued improvement of delivery and management of store and digital technologies, as well as internal team best practices, standards and tools
Build & maintain strong relationships with GapTech Partners (InfoSec, Architects, engineers, L1, L2, Finance, etc.), Sourcing, Legal, PdM and Brands
8+ years of experience in consulting, program management and technology delivery
Experience managing large programs or a portfolio of projects ($5+ Million annually)
Experience working with engineering development and ops teams in a DevOps model
Experience working with 3rd party vendors delivering technology solutions
Creative and flexible mindset to planning and problem-solving, ability to lean into the details while maintaining the -big picture-
Strength in building partnerships and working collaboratively in a matrixed environment with proven influencing skills
High degree of financial acumen with proven track record of planning and executing on the financial aspect of deliverables
Demonstrated track record of aligning IT objectives and programs to business objectives and strategies
Strong management presence and experience advising and interfacing with senior executives and business leadership on technology related issues, excellent executive-level verbal and written communication
