As a member of SKECHERS USA, Inc's Human Resources team, this person will be responsible for the support of Skechers payroll technology, compliance and reporting. The Skechers Payroll Analyst writes, runs and maintains payroll and finance reports. They will work with members of the payroll, finance and benefits teams as well as auditors and external vendors to provide data and ensure SOX compliance. _ESSENTIAL JOB RESULTS-_ * Create and schedule operational reporting * Understand SOX compliance and make sure the company remains in compliance * Analyze and improve payroll audits from the HR perspective * Provide support and end-user training, as needed * Support HR, Payroll, Benefits and Finance in the ADP test environment * HRIS and payroll system data mining and data cleansing * Responsible for payroll system data integrity * Build and execute complex reporting * Facilitate task prioritization * Collaborate closely with internal business stakeholders in HR * Research initiatives and explore options for reporting and compliance optimization * Provide support and respond to all tax issues * Interpreting and complying with state, local, international statues, and regulations * Providing guidance based on research of tax laws and regulations * Develops automated reporting and forecasting tools for more efficient use of data * Analyze financial data and provide input to the Sr. Payroll Manager * Perform and build compliance and year end reporting * Reconciles assigned companies' quarter-to-date and year-to-date wages and taxes to ensure accurate tax reporting * Assist with WOTC Tax Credit reporting * Assist Finance, Tax and Benefits dept. with quarterly and annual reports * Monitors all payroll tax activity and is a primary liaison for tax support * Responsible for recording, monitoring, and resolving all agency tax notices and tracers with government agencies, validating of all agency responses * Leads Year-End processing and closing under Sr. Payroll Manager supervision * Assist Sr. Payroll Manager with special projects as needed _ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES-_ * Other duties as assigned. _SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES-_ * No *JOB REQUIREMENTS-* Hard Skills: * Proficiency using Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, macros, * Experience with HCM systems - ADP, SuccessFactors, UKG (formerly Kronos) * Experience with HRIS and payroll reporting modules - ADP, SuccessFactors, UKG * Experience with system integrations * Knowledge of Payroll, SOX Compliance Soft Skills: * Must possess a natural curiosity about a variety of topics including a strong desire to learn about reporting and culture * Self-managing with a proactive approach in all aspects of communications and overall project management skills * Proven ability to work well with technical and non-technical resources * Strong attention to detail skills * Must have refined interpersonal skills and able to work with management and staff in HR and Finance * Proven team player in difficult situations * Able to identify issues (potential or immediate), document and communicate progress against plans, taking corrective action as necessary * Demonstrated resourcefulness and creativity in solving issues, conflicts, and solutioning * Demonstrated ability to identify, describe and manage risks in a proactive manner * Self-directed and can create structure and provide direction, even in situations that lack clarity *EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE-* * Bachelor's degree * 2+ years of experience in HR or Finance analytics To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
