Our facility in Huntsville, AL seeks an early career level 2, Manufacturing Planner to join our mission supporting the tactical and strategic needs of a fast-paced and highly technical build cycle. No two days will be the same but every day will be filled with supporting the creation of some of the most technically advanced items ever to fly. This role will support LM Space and LM MFC.

You will be responsible for the make-part planning of all the parts in an assigned MRP Code(s) which will include such activities as the following:

- Production order release, monitoring, and closure

- Facilitate kit creation and delivery

- Perform Material Master creation and management

- Conduct Manufacturing Bill of Material review

- Monitor and record material usage

- Exception message monitoring and control

- Interface with program management, senior management, and the customer as the program's planning integrator

- Devise modeling and measuring techniques to integrate risks and opportunities with schedule and cost baseline, and perform schedule risk assessments

- Utilize performance and health metrics analyses to facilitate actions resulting in improved program performance

- Facilitate communication and integration across program functional organizations such as Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Contracts, Business Management, Program Finance, and Program Management.

- Develop/refine knowledge of Critical Path Methodology and how to apply it in schedule network development and analysis.

- Develop/refine knowledge of Earned Value Management performing schedule risk assessments, create formal schedule CDRL reports, develop proposal schedules, and maturation of forward-planning efforts.

Our level 2 employees typically have 3 - 6 years of experience.

Although this position does support some teleworking, the selected candidate will be located near our Huntsville facility and be expected to work in the office as needed and as appropriate.

Basic Qualifications:

- 2-3 years of prior Supply Chain or Shop Floor Support experience in a technical manufacturing environment (e.g. Aerospace, Automotive, Farm Implement, etc.)

- Experience with a planning software (e.g. SAP, Microsoft Project, Open Plan, Acumen, One Pager Pro, Primavera, Excel, JIRA or another comparable software)

- Familiarity with Earned Value Management (EVM) concepts such as critical path analysis, cost/schedule integration, performance metrics, and program start-up activities

- Must be a United States citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Government security clearance

Desired Skills:

- Bachelors degree

- Active Secret Security clearance

- Green Belt Certified is highly preferred

- 3+ years of prior Supply Chain or Shop Floor Support experience in a technical manufacturing environment (e.g. Aerospace, Automotive, Farm Implement, etc.)

- Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) Knowledge

- APICS/ASCM certification(s)

- Scrum Master

- Green Belt Trained

- Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills and presentation skills.

- Self-starter able to operate with minimal guidance with a deep sense of follow-up and closure with attention to detail

- Ability to communicate and work effectively across multiple disciplines

- Thrives in fast-paced environments and demonstrates a willingness to adjust to changing priorities

- Computer proficiency and demonstrated ability to learn new software applications.

- Passionate about and/or experience with project planning/project management/scheduling.

- Makes sound decisions quickly and efficiently, even with limited information or under time constraints

- Demonstrated ability to lead multiple simultaneous tactical and strategic initiatives

- Demonstrated ability to think creatively, publish, and present executive-level courses of action and recommendations

- Demonstrated ability to develop and convey clear strategic narratives

- Demonstrated advanced collaboration and partnership behaviors in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
