The Assistant Teacher will help maintain a safe and fun environment for children while assisting in developing creative and educational activities.

High School Diploma/GED
Must be a team builder, organized and possess excellent customer service/communication skills
Personal characteristics
Caring and compassionate attitude when interacting with and caring for children,
Strong verbal communication and listening skills to converse with children, fellow professional caregivers and parents or guardians
Excellent patience and stamina for keeping up with the demands of children of all ages
Advanced multitasking and organizational skills to handle multiple children at a time
Physical abilities- Must be able to bend, stoop, stand, and lift up to 25-40lbs daily

Provide instructional assistance such as but not limited to: facilitating learning centers; individual and small group instruction; facilitating and modeling play; assisting students with computers; and model good nutrition practices during meal/snack times
Plan and maintain a safe, clean, learning environment, and assures the well-being and safety of children in her/his care.
Establish a caring professional relationship and a climate of mutual trust and respect for families.
Maintain a cooperative attitude of working together with center staff, volunteers, parents, and program specialists in planning and implementing classroom activities
Timely and accurately completion of all paperwork, including parent/teacher conference forms, lesson plans, and transition forms
Assists in the preparation of materials needed for classroom instruction
