The Opportunity:
Work in the District's Litigation Support Unit, modifying and manipulating files for use with COTS products and litigation support applications such as NUIX, LAW, Eclipse, Everlaw, Relativity, and MS Office Suite, Adobe Creative Cloud, USAfx, Evidence.com and Camtasia Studio.
Ensure incoming case material is provided pursuant to the applicable ESI specifications and when deficiencies are found, provides the prosecutor and legal support staff with detailed notice of deficiencies.
Ensure that all exports for productions are made pursuant to applicable ESI specifications and/or the requirement of the requesting party or USAO personnel using the guidelines utilized by the Litigation Support Unit.
Assist with the tracking of discovery intake, Discovery Log, Discovery Production, hands-on file manipulation, loading, and conversion services, creating and modifying files for upload, typically into COTS products, and performing individual file conversion in support of electronic file processing.
Receive and process electronic files, including email files and other files in their native formats, digital image files, even load-ready data, and image files.
Convert audio/video files to formats applicable for production or trial presentation.
Export in specified electronic formats, and load or import data into COTS products and litigation support applications.
Processing electronic discovery will include scanning, importing electronic files, and OCRing documents using eDiscovery processing software.
Perform quality assurance of all electronic file processing services to include exporting electronic files to various formats and loading and updating databases.
Responsibilities:
Perform file manipulation, loading, conversion services, database indexing, and quality checks of loads.
Develop, evaluate and modify methodologies and procedures for manipulating files for use with COTS products and litigation support applications.
Responsible for ensuring that incoming productions are made pursuant to the applicable ESI specifications and when deficiencies are found, provides Senior Data Specialist with detailed notice of deficiencies.
Perform advanced tasks related to exporting data from contractor and DOJ databases, including: identifying data for export, confirming redactions and other markups, ensuring that exports comply with applicable ESI specifications, and quality check of exported data.
Qualifications:
Required:
Knowledge of litigation discovery process, and the Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM) workflow.
Knowledge of Government's IT environment, including office automation networks, PC and server-based applications preferred.
Working knowledge of personal computers, including Windows, document review software, and encryption methods.
Experience with LAW, IPRO, Relativity or other document processing platform. Familiarity with ICONECT, Relativity, MS Office Suite, and West LiveNote valued.
Two years' experience performing eDiscovery roles including but not limited to electronic files processing (EFP), image and data file conversion, data culling using review tools, quality assurance, database loads and retrieval, and data analysis.
Desired:
Undergraduate degree preferred-preferably in computer science or related field.
Coursework in technical disciplines (programming/scripting, systems administration, and database management)
Ability to perform quality control analysis and report any issues with the data.
Ability to work in a deadline driven, fast-paced environment.
Excellent attention to detail, and ability to perform tasks accurately and quickly.
Customer-focused, congenial, professional attitude for working on site with government clients.
eDiscovery experience and demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, similar to the duties and responsibilities described.
Analytical and problem-solving skills are a plus.

The proposed salary range for this position is:
$55,500 - $111,100
