PROPELLANT SCHEDULER
The scheduler will update and maintain plans and schedules for test operations in accordance with launch and rate needs. This role allows an exciting opportunity to engage with all aspects of the organization. This person will work closely with engineers, technicians and other support staff.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Schedule and coordinate consumables, logistics and other support groups to meet mission goals
Coordinate and review schedule input from engineering, operations, production, logistics, and business development to extract critical milestone data
Make fast decisions regarding internal and external resource allocations to support site operations
Provide daily visibility, weekly status, and monthly reviews on schedule performance
Prepare weekly delivery schedules and track progress to highlight progress, advise the site management of needed adjustments to site priorities
Provide scheduling expertise to department, company, and other personnel as required
Effectively, and comprehensively communicate to support teams, as well as to third party supply chain in a timely and effective manner
Create and maintain reporting metrics to provide updates to the SpaceX organization
Data mining EIS applications or other company tools to identify and analyze trends and develop forecasts/schedules for the site
Understand the capabilities and challenges of close proximity third party supply chains and be able to rapidly respond to challenges
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Associate's degree in the field of math, science, or business
Experience using Microsoft Excel in a school or professional environment
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Skilled at taking in large quantities of information and presenting it in a clear and concise manner
Experience in a technical industry, not necessarily Aerospace
Ability to work and communicate well with others in a team environment
Ability to learn quickly and take initiative
Strong communication skills
Proficient with Microsoft Excel
Experience with medium to large size projects
Experience with Microsoft Project or other scheduling programs
Ability to work with limited supervision to develop and maintain program schedules
Proficient in Microsoft Office products
Strong analytical and organizational skills
Demonstrated ability to manage resource planning with large scale manufacturing and/or testing programs
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be available for all shifts, extended hours, and weekends as needed; flexibility required
Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. unassisted
