Are you a creative problem solver with deep experience writing engaging and unique brand awareness advertising? We are looking for a Sr. Copywriter to join our Brand creative team. In partnership with Art Directors and Strategists, you will show your problem-solving skills and think creatively for a range of media to create inspiring digital assets and innovative advertising. Develop creative for multi-channel campaigns that include out-of-home, online display, podcast, and social advertising. Bring your unique self and perspective to our team and culture. Be an active member of a creative team motivated to build brand affinity and support strategic goals through creative solutions.
What you will do - Essential Responsibilities
. Develop compelling written copy to support awareness messaging, across integrated marketing, that align with CarMax brand standards and messaging
- Collaborate with members of the creative and strategy teams to brainstorm, articulate, and develop concepts - Present concepts and deliverables directly to partners, stakeholders, and the broader creative and marketing teams and tying the work to strategy brief and brand guidelines
- Maintain the brand's voice and the integrity of copy (grammar, spelling)
- Balance and prioritize multiple concurrent assignments at once
- Maintain a familiarity with ever-changing brand trends

Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in English, journalism, or communications preferred; graduation from an advertising/portfolio school or professional work experience can be substituted
- 4+ years of professional experience as a copywriter, primarily within a creative in-house or agency environment
- Ability to collaborate productively with Art Directors and writers, contributing to objectives and giving constructive feedback

- Extensive experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to brainstorm, develop, and execute campaigns
- Acute attention to detail and an ability to work within tight deadlines
- Hungry for innovation, eager to challenge the status quo
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively through verbal, written, and visual methods
- Digital portfolio showcasing multiple examples of work including display ads, social media and out of home.
