The Siemens Industry, Inc. distribution center in Roebuck, SC is seeking a Lighting Panel Assembly Coordinator, to be an integral member of a diverse and dynamic team. You will make impact by doing the following:
RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinate employees and materials to ensure the timely completion of work according to the schedule.
Execute cross training actions defined by the Supervisor, including updating the matrix, to develop a well-trained workforce, through rotation.
Perform SAP transactions before, during and after the production process
Update reports and files, and communicate shortages preventing CAN Assembly from achieving gapless production
Identify and report any issues that impact production in the area, proactively collaborating with relevant departments to find solutions
Work closely with Manufacturing, Manufacturing Engineering, and Materials to eliminate downtime and increase productivity.
Lead Continuous Improvement Process (CIP) Team/Projects by empowering the team to take ownership
Ensure the application of 5S, 7 Wastes, and other Lean principles in the team/area
Empower the team and actively participate in equipment and work area, cleaning to maintain proper functioning and safe working conditions
Utilize computer systems to access and utilize relevant manufacturing documents (e.g. Quality & Safety Documents, Operating Instructions, etc)
Act as a backup for the supervisor when necessary
Perform additional tasks as directed by supervision
Provide production updates mid-day and at the end of the shift to monitor production progress and address assembly issues.
Complete a Shift Operator Activity Document (SOAD) once per day
Receive training to become a backup Group Leader for the current leads in CAN Assembly
Responsible for Kitting Custom CAN Material as well as material staged for production on the NEMA Line
Responsible for relaying the next shift run plan daily to management and entering production numbers into the system for tracking
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Current experience in the Lighting Panel Department and/or at least 2yrs of previous LP experience
Knowledge of all operations in the area, material flow, and SAP transactions
Familiarity with Lighting Panel products and processes
A valid forklift license
Demonstrated ability to multitask in the dynamic environment
Experience in empowering teams
Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize
Must be able to speak, read, write, and comprehend the English language.
Reach, grasp, lift 50 lbs., and push/pull/slide heavy material and make coordinated movements of the hands and arms to grasp and move objects.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
. Applicants with 5 or more years of experience in Lighting Panel will receive special consideration
