SAIC is currently seeking an experienced and motivated Implementation Manager to join our Land Border Integration team in Sterling, VA supporting US Customs and Border Patrol and US Customs and Border Protection Agencies. The Implementation Manager will work closely with the government customer, other teams across the program, and outside vendor support managing projects/activities supporting new technology, new lane deployments at border sites, and equipment refresh. They will also support the operations and maintenance of deployed solutions to ensure the ongoing stability and functionality of equipment. The candidate must possess high level verbal and written communications skills, emotional intelligence, possess strong leadership and management experience, and be collaborative problem solver with project management experience and the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance. This is a hybrid position, with onsite requirements 2-4 days/month at the Sterling, VA office.

Responsibilities

. Overall management of highly complex assigned projects, deliverables, and cost estimates/financial planning.

. Manage and integrate activities in accordance with contract requirements and ensure technical, schedule, cost, and financial performance.

. Build and maintain working relationships with the customer, stakeholders, team members, and partners.

. Assess and enhance team performance: strategic planning, processes and procedures, traveling, and project deployments.

. Understand financial and budgetary restrictions so that the team stays within budget constraints.

. Resource management, ensuring that all projects are sufficiently staffed and that team is involved in other program activities when not being utilized by deployments or break-fix travel.

. Own process for establishing and documenting deployment procedures, best practices, and requirements.

. Collaborate with multiple teams in the program to determine travel schedule needs.

. Support special and unique tasks involving research of historical databases in legacy SharePoint and Confluence spaces to provide detailed analysis when needed.

. Ability to travel up to 5-10% for site progress checks on general contractor progress and other trips as needed.

. Have the ability to obtain and responsibly manage a Purchase Card on behalf of the team.

Qualifications

Qualifications

. Bachelor's degree and 9 years or more of related experience. Additional experience in lieu of a degree.

. Supervisory experience in a related business or technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience.

. Hands on experience overseeing program operations and logistics to influence and execute program decisions.

. High energy, ability to multi-task, strong organization skills, and display a strong work ethic.

. Experience deploying new technologies and break-fix.

. Critical thinker, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

. Excellent written and oral communication skills.

. Great interpersonal and team building skills, including the ability and willingness to initiate and manage relationships.

. Comprehensive and thorough knowledge of: Business case analysis, creative problem solving, Project Management Methodologies, Risk and Opportunity Management, program activity planning, and strategic planning.

. Ability to lead and influence cross-functional work groups, manage project teams and achieve results.

. Ability to travel up to 10%.

Experience

- 3 years of experience managing complex projects, being able to pivot priorities as required by the government and ability to collaborate with individuals across the organization.

- Ability to understand and interpret construction drawings.

- Familiar with inside plant and outside plant construction as it relates to concrete and asphalt demolishing and resurfacing, trenching, conduit installation, signal and power cabling and all related activities.
