Operations Manager
Full-time, Hybrid; Two days at home and three days on-site at Apple in Culver City, CA
You will report to Valerie S Feuell
In this role you will be responsible for managing a global operations team who are dedicated to Apple Entertainment, focusing on managing all aspects of travel for the Press & Publicity team. We are looking for someone who can work in a fast paced, exciting industry, who is looking for their next challenge within the entertainment industry. We are looking for someone who enjoys building strong and trusting client& supplier relationships, who relishes working in a challenging environment and someone who is looking to do things just a little bit different than the norm. You will be someone who is dedicated to their team, enjoys working as part of a larger organization and is constantly looking at ways to improve the current operations. This position demonstrates an extensive understanding and applicability of all areas in the entertainment travel industry, client servicing and business practices.
A snapshot of this opportunity
Serve as the primary liaison between Apple's Press & Publicity Team and the BCD team, as well as building a strong relationship with Apple's Entertainment Travel Manager
Look at new ways of handling Apple's Press & Publicity travel requirements
Having the ability to develop and maintain relationships with our suppliers, and being the escalation point for vendor concerns
Provide team feedback, coaching, and development on performance through regular meetings, annual performance reviews, and ad hoc coaching
Conduct meeting and training sessions as appropriate
Maintain industry knowledge to provide direction on best practices to improve operational processes
Ensure all operational goals are consistently met and work to implement and measure continuous improvement efforts.
Working with the event management team for Apple Entertainment
How you can set yourself apart
Proven track record of entertainment travel
Thorough knowledge of travel agency operations
Strong knowledge of Sabre GDS
Entertainment experience is a requirement
Experience in working within a constantly changing and dynamic environment
Dealing with escalations
Experience managing Entertainment and VIP clients
Experience of leading a virtual team from different regions
Experience with contract negotiations, payment solutions and supplier sourcing
