Do you have over 3 years of product buying experience in the retail industry? Are you looking to join a growing national retailer located in southeastern Wisconsin? TheProduct Managerfocuses on product buying, procurement, sourcing, and developing strategic plans for their assigned categories. Additionally, responsibilities include analysis and planning, demand planning, product development, vendor management and executing on projects and strategies.

Responsibilities:
Product Management
Develop strong understanding of overall industry, products and product applications
Develop annual Strategic Plans for assigned categories; present to direct manager and peers
Conduct Line Review process for assigned categories, to ensure the assortment vendor matrix are reviewed regularly. Create business recommendations based on Line Review findings.
Product Development / Procurement
Lead CFT approach to source the best possible products for retail stores; including new products, product lines and finding different vendors for existing product lines
Ensure projects, initiatives and line extensions are meeting milestone dates and overall completion
Strong comprehension of steps and timeline of a project including sourcing, RFQ, price negotiation, etc.
Ensure product benchmarks and specifications are being maintained for assigned categories
Partner with demand planning team to remedy inventory challenges
Analysis & Planning
Analyze categories independently on a daily, weekly and monthly year to date and report out results
Create annual financial plan for assigned categories and identify when reforecast is needed
Partner with manager to develop pricing and financial strategies to support annual budgets or company goals
Vendor Management
Develop strategic vendor matrix for assigned categories
Identify new vendors as needed, to support business.
Cultivate strong vendor partnerships for assigned categories
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree
3+ years experience in product management, category management, buying, planning or related
Preferred Qualifications:
Retail experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and working understanding of Google Suite
Highly analytical with the ability to use statistical and qualitative analysis to make recommendations or decisions
Demonstrated understanding of sales, gross margin rate and gross margin dollar calculations
