During our 10-week internship program, you will gain meaningful work experience and exposure to the nation's leading health care company, while learning what a career at UnitedHealth Group will have in store for you. You will be assigned to a team that aligns with your career aspirations, influence business recommendations to senior leadership teams and partner with a dedicated mentor and manager that will support you as you take on challenges of key importance to the company. You'll be empowered to build relationships, drive innovation across the business, and share in a growth mindset. In addition, you'll have access to trainings and curriculum to provide you with foundational knowledge necessary to truly become a subject matter expert. You will also be invited to experience our Minnesota Headquarters, during an experience garnered toward networking and development. The Marketing Internship Program comprises of various tracks within our Enterprise Marketing & Customer Office. Please see below for detail on various opportunities and examples of project work.
Primary Responsibilities:
Business Marketing
Assist in the development and execution of go-to-market strategies and help create marketing materials to effectively position products
Assist in the development and execution of multi-channel marketing campaigns, including coordinating content creation, managing social media, conducting email marketing, and handling digital advertising
Support client-specific campaigns - from client engagement, requirements,campaign ideation/ planning, execution, ongoing communications, results measurement, and reporting
Consumer Experience & Digital
Experience: Create comprehensive journey maps outlining end to end member experiences and business processes. Contribute to delivering more tailored experiences that aligns to a consumer's individual circumstances, such as their income level, race, gender identity, and other social determinants of health
Data & Analytics: Document key metrics and their associated monetary values, as well as developing a framework to store and share these metrics. Leverage data to produce ideas for personalizing content and managing the lifecycle of an activity
Digital: Conduct in-depth research on the latest trends in artificial intelligence (AI) and its applications within the healthcare industry and beyond for navigation and recall. Perform detailed analytics audit and gap documentation for universal consumer log-in, including user engagement, system performance, and client satisfaction
Market Research & Insights
Research industry and competitive trends and data to inform product and marketing strategies
Conduct secondary research and competitive intelligence analysis
Conduct SWOT analysis (strengths, weakness, opportunities and threats) by means of researching industry trends, gathering competitive intelligence, and leveraging internal and external sources to inform go-to-market plans/ strategies
Events
Support events strategy team on project management, PPT deck development, drafting strategic briefs and other supporting materials, research, etc.

Required Qualifications:
Currently enrolled and pursuing a bachelor's degree from an accredited college / university during the duration of the internship. Internships are not intended for graduating seniors
Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment-based work authorization (F-1 students with practical training and candidates requiring H-1Bs, TNs, etc. will not be considered)
Preferred Qualifications:
Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in marketing, business or another related field
Proficiency in Microsoft office suite including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
Minimum 3.00 cumulative GPA
