Siemens Industry, is looking for Technical Interns for our Electrification and Automation division in Wendell, NC to support our portfolio of protection and automation products and solutions. A variety of engineering and business opportunities are available across the division including project design, product development, operations, and business analytics. Working hours will vary based on team placement.
You'll make an impact by:
Support engineering work via modeling of designs (3D NX CAD)
Team improvement projects focused on simulation analysis
Support prototype builds with support of senior members and JT files
Set up and analyze new prototype builds and analysis studies for simulation applications
Create/organize simulation file libraries
Production and Lab support for test assemblies

Majors: Currently enrolled undergraduate or graduate student studying Mechanical Engineering
Education: Current student pursuing a bachelor's degree from an accredited technical school, college, or university (you must be a registered student at the time of the internship)
Relocation: No travel /or relocation compensation. Applicants must be local and able to work on-site at the office in Wendell, NC
Working Hours: Spring Internships are Part-time up to 29 hours per week. Work times starting from 8-9am and ending they day 4-6pm with flex start and end times.
Work Authorization: Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications:
Ability to prioritize work responsibility and meet project deadlines
3D modeling/drafting experience (Solidworks, AutoCAD, NX)
Exposure to simulation tools, such as Nastran, ANSYS, Star-CCM+, Fluent
Good verbal and written communication skills
Experience with MS office products with proficiency in MS works, Excel and PowerPoint
You'll benefit from:
The hourly pay rate for this position is $25.00-$31.00/hr. Actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
Additionally, interns for Siemens are eligible to contribute into our 401K program.
