This position is flexible on hours per week. Essential Functions
Conduct analysis to determine the best solution to meet the business needs
Create or maintain ETL/ELT data processes
Create or modify existing data structures and assets as needed
Document in detail the purposes, transformations, and origins of each column of the data asset
Write SQL scripts to query the data and perform quality assessments
Required Qualifications
Must be organized with the ability to manage multiple projects at any given time.
Proficient technical skills and the ability and desire to learn new technologies.
Excellent communication skills - must be able to listen, comprehend, and assist with the gathering of requirements from the end user to ensure the need or problem to be solved is addressed in the most proficient manner. Must also be able to communicate data concepts verbally in a manner that is understood by all levels of staff, as well as technical and non-technical end users.
Must be willing to ask questions of clients and team members as needed
Interpersonal skills - ability to work with all levels of staff, internal and external, and remain professional under stressful situations.
Basic/beginner skill level on the following:
SQL
Data Modeling
Understanding of ELT/ETL processes
One or more BI Reporting tool, such as Cognos, SAS, Tableau, Qlik, Power BI, etc.
Preferred candidate will be pursuing a degree in Data Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, History, or similar curriculum.
