Our client, a leading provider in the leading supplier of minerals and material solutions, is seeking a Network Engineer to join their team. As a Network Engineer, you will be part of the Information Technology department supporting various operational teams. The ideal candidate will be well rounded, have effective communication abilities, and a proactive mindset, which will align successfully with the organization.
Location: Independence, OH - Hybrid 3 days per week onsite
Job Type: Permanent / Full-Time
What's the Job?
Recommend, design, and implement network infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance.
Monitor and resolve network performance issues to maintain high availability and reliability.
Establish and enforce network security configuration standards and compliance.
Troubleshoot and document network incidents to ensure timely resolutions and customer satisfaction.
Develop disaster recovery procedures, including network documentation and topology diagrams.
What's Needed?
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in network engineering, with relevant certifications preferred.
Expert understanding of LAN, WAN, wireless, and voice networking technologies.
Familiarity with firewalls, VoIP solutions, and cybersecurity frameworks.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with experience in mentoring junior staff.
