What You'll Get to Do:
As a CACI-SOAS China Expert, you will support the US Army North G5 Future of Homeland Defense Project in solving future problems that may face the nation out to the year 2040. US Army North (ARNORTH) requires expertise on an iterative basis to support the future HDP which incorporates inputs and collaborative efforts from USARNORTH staff, US Special Operations Command - North, United States Special Operations Command, Army Futures Command (AFC), HQDA, Department of Defense (DoD) personnel, TRADOC, Intelligence Community, and subject matter experts (SME) from academia and private industry.
More About this Role:
This is a hybrid position which requires a minimum of one week each month to participate in the ARNORTH HDP Design Workshop on Fort Sam Houston, TX for the purpose of collaborating with other SMEs. As the China Expert, you will work with other SMEs on the team to provide expert advice and guidance to clients, leadership, and VIPs. You will be a specialist who has a deep understanding the national goals and strategic posture of the People's Republic of China and the ability of that nation to develop, field, and deploy an effective military instrument in support of its national strategic objectives. The China Expert will have a firm grasp on China's foreign policy, economic policies, military-civil fusion, development strategy, defense policy and China's belt and road initiative. You will be responsible for writing White Papers on topics such as China's growth on the world stage, Chinese aggression to their neighbors, and other selected topics as directed by the ARNORTH G5 that address China's threat the U.S. Homeland.
You'll Bring These Qualifications:
Current Secret Clearance with eligibility to obtain TS is required.
Minimum of master's degree and 10 years of relevant work experience.
Proven experience as an expert in Chinese Government, Military, and global expansion
Professional publications on this topic
Ability to identify threats and provide recommendations.
Experience collaborating with international, national, state, and local contacts in intelligence communities.
Excellent communication skills ability to work in a team. Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills.
Working knowledge of tools, methods, and concepts of portals and other real or near real time knowledge management systems.
Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
Strong attention to detail.
These Qualifications Would Be Nice to Have:
Experience supporting the US Army or the Department of Defense requirements.
Must be able to work independently with limited government oversight and function effectively as part of a team in a joint working environment.

$82,500 - $181,500
