We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our team as a Manager, Parcel and Mail Operations. This leadership position involves driving the development and implementation of a robust reporting platform, optimizing Parcel and Mail Operations to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness and strong partnership and mentorship.

What you will do - Essential Responsibilities

Team Leadership

  • Lead, mentor, and inspire our Parcel and Mail Operations Team

  • Foster a collaborative and results-driven team culture

Reporting Platform Design, Development and Troubleshooting:

  • Spearhead the creation and launch of a new reporting platform to analyze trends and identify opportunities within the department.

  • Utilize in-depth knowledge and analytics experience to develop actionable insights.

  • Oversee system administration and optimization within Parcel and Mail Operations

  • Troubleshoot reporting escalations and implement solutions for continuous improvement

Process Improvement

  • Apply best practices and leverage internal or external business processes to enhance products and services in the Parcel and Mail Operations domain.

  • Analyze cost/benefit scenarios for consolidation opportunities and shipping methods.

Vendor Management

  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with CarMax third-party vendors to ensure seamless collaboration and service delivery.

Training and Communication

  • Contribute to the development and creation of training materials and communication tools.

  • Assist in training teams on the effective use of reporting tools and analytics.

Project Management

  • Demonstrate strong project management skills to execute initiatives successfully.

  • Drive projects from inception to completion, ensuring timelines and objectives are met.

  • Build robust internal partnerships essential for project success.

  • Strong ability required to evaluate ad-hoc requests as proposed by store locations, Home Office, and Home Office extensions

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or equivalent preferred

  • Proven experience in analytics and Parcel and Mail Operations, with a deep understanding of industry best practices.

  • 3+ years of strong leadership skills, with a track record of successfully leading and motivating teams.

  • Expert level MS Office applications Excel, Word and PowerPoint required

  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing reporting platforms.

  • Proficient in analyzing cost/benefit scenarios and optimizing shipping methods.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Project management experience, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Work Location and Arrangement: This role will be based out of the Richmond, VA CarMax Corporate office.

Work Authorization: Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Sponsorship will not be considered for this specific role.
